New Camera for New Kitty Shots!

I've bought a new camera about 1 month ago and has been experimenting a lot with it. Absolutely LOVE the photos is it able to take.

For once, Ginger is not shy and does not mind the camera in her face.

Party, Balloons and Twister

I had a Valentine's Party at my house on Saturday. All of the Spice Cats enjoyed the air-conditioned night. But Ginger was in hiding most of the time.

Sesame is pretty careful about it at first, but I think he managed to burst a few, then stayed away from them completely.

Spice Cats in their CNY outfit

Chinese New Year is over. The photos are actually taken during the first few days of Chinese New Year. And yes, I bought only 1 outfit, shared among the 4 Spice Cats as well as Coco. And the outfit is only for photograph purpose. All of them prefer to walk around naked.

Sesame looked pretty cute in the outfit, though he was really confused about the new thing on his body.

Pepper was not happy at all and gave me the annoyed look.

The outfit is a bit too big for Ginger. She managed to get both her front paws out before settling down comfortably.

Garlic was absolutely confused, but I think he looked the best in the outfit.

Eventhough he has wore the outfit himself, he cant helped but being incredibly curious when it was Garlic's turn to wear it.

Happy Chinese New Year!

First of all, we would like to wish all the chinese out there a very Happy Chinese New Year! This year, I also bought a cute oriental outfit for Coco and the Spice Cats.

She stopped asking for help and start posing for photographs after a few minutes.
The outfit fits Coco perfectly, maybe slightly loose.

Mother and Son - Isolated

Saturday morning i checked on Sesame's bladder and noticed that it was very full. He had just recovered from a bladder infection about 2 weeks back and I have been checking his bladder regularly. Worried, I brought him to the vet right away. The vet tried to simulate him to pee but was unsuccessful. The vet suspected that there is some blockage. So Sesame was hospitalized right away, as the blockage may cause the pee to back-flow to the kidney, resulting in kidney failure which could be fatal.

He was sedated and a tube was inserted to help get his pee out. The vet said that when they tried to clear the blockage, there was some sandy material that came out. He was also put on IV as there were some toxins in his kidney that needs to be flushed out. Sesame, however, managed to remove the tube by himself on the first day and removed the IV all by himself on the 3rd day.

As he has not stayed over at a foreign place, in a cage before, he was miserable and refused to eat. I went to visit him everyday. He looked miserable and refused to acknowledge my presence.

On Tuesday, the vet said I can bring him home as he has started peeing on his own. Xray showed that there are no visible stones in the bladder nor kidney. Blood test (that came in Wed morning) showed that all his kidney readings are normal (no more toxins!). Maybe sensing that he is going home, Sesame was very happy and came straight to me when I opened the cage.

As he is on medication for 3 weeks, he needs to be separated from the other Spice Cats so that I can monitor his food and water intake, as well as pee and poo.

Right after I brought him home, he said Hi to all the other Spice Cats and started eating! He was also extremely vocal, demanding to be stroke and pampered and carried. I obliged :)

Unfortunately, on Tuesday morning, I also discovered that there are pee in Pepper's urine. So I brought her to the vet on Tuesday evening. She is also now separated and on medication for the next 3 weeks. I also need to bring her back to the vet for some tests next week.

I've placed her in the cat room, together with Sesame, but in the cage, as she and Sesame needs to be monitored separately.

Both of them would need to be kept isolated for 4 weeks. They would also need to go on a special kind of food that will help flush out small stones (if any) from the bladder and kidney for about 3 months. But I am just glad that Sesame is home and the critical stage is over.

Wet Kitties Again

About 2 months ago, the Spice Cats had fungal infection. Not only all of them need to be bath with Malased once a week until they recover, they need to be soak in Malased for about 10-15 minutes. So while waiting for the 15 minutes to pass, I took some photos......

I always bath Garlic and Pepper first. Because they are smarter and always run when its bath time. I had to pretend its a normal day and trick them with treats.

Garlic : I am not happy. If you are not careful, I am gonna use my laser eyes on you!


Ginger and Sesame normally wont run, they will just hide under the sofa. So its easier to catch them.

Ginger : Maybe if I just sit quietly and look at the wall, Mummy wont notice me.

Garlic : I dont understand humans, they think wet kitties are funny!

1. I moved in with the Spice Cats about 2 months ago. Now I am a member of the Spice Cats family! I love the Spice Cats and try to play with them but they wont play with me :(
2. I love Cat Food!
3. I love the rain but is terrified of thunder and loud noises. Mummy is not happy that I kept hurting myself so now she kept me tied up when she is not at home.
4. I love swimming! Mummy brought me swimming once at Central Park and I look forward to going back there again!
5. I look forward to the morning walk every morning with Winter. Its my highlight for the day!
6. I am a bit on the thin side but the vet said its OK as it is not good for a senior Golden Retriever to be heavy as we tend to get hips problem.
7. I love my ball! I am always trying to get people (and the Spice Cats) to play with me!
8. Mummy say I have a very loud bark. It sometimes scare people away but I am actually very friendly.

Show White has crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Pelud's mom found Snow White lying in the middle of the road this morning, body still and breathless. Snow White was suspected to be hit by a car but we were not sure..... But we will alway remember Snow White for the beautiful loving cat that she was.....

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
