New Tenant - Day 2

As promised, here are some photos of our new tenant, Prelud, on her 2nd day (Sunday) at the Spice Cats' house. The Spice Cats were still not allowed into the room so that Prelud has some time to get used to her new home for the next 5 weeks.

On Sunday morning, Prelud has moved to a new corner in the room. She looked at me but refused to come out of the corner.

As your can see, the corner was filled with dumbells and wires. She must be very uncomfortable there!

I slowly moved all the dumbells and wires so that Prelud can sit comfortably at her corner. Oh, she also allowed me to pat her. No more hissing at me. Hehe....

After staying with her for awhile, I left her to go to the gym. When I checked on her later in the afternoon, she finally came out of her corner to greet me!

Prelud walked around the room to check out her new home. She still did not dare to go too close to the door as she knows the Spice Cats were outside. Occasionally, she would still hissed at the door.

Then there was a noise at the gate, our neighbour just came back. Prelud climbed on top of the chair and looked out curiously, probably hoping her mommy would come bring her home.

I then told her gently that she will have to stay with us for the next 5 weeks. She then heard some noise outside the door.

Prelud was immediately fixated to the door. We could hear the Spice Cats playing outside the door.

After much soothing talk, she finally came down from her chair and lied on her bed under the chair. I decided to move her bed under the chair as I know she would preferred a covered area to lie on.

Here is a close-up photo of Prelud. Isnt she gorgeous? I have never seen a cat with such yellow eyes. Oh, and did I mention that she is a VERY talkative cat. She just would not stop talking to you.

Stay tune for more of Prelud's update. The next post would be about the introduction of the Spice Cats to Prelud, slowly.

Such a pretty white kittie.

She's doing pretty well for only two days in her new place, especially with four strange cats running around the area.

Why is he just staying for five weeks? Why did they have to give such a beautiful creature away? I hope a forever home is waiting for him soon. I love it when the cat talks to you... Mr. Rhett sings with us. His particular favorite song is The Three Little Kittens Have Lost Their Mittenss.

horatio & srp, Pelud is staying with us for 5 weeks because her mommy is going to Germany. She will go back home once her mommy is back.

Radcliff, Allie, Luna & Ozzie, Yes. She is doing extremely well. I am hoping to change her perception about that other cats. She seems to think that all other cats are planning to hurt her!

Prelud is a very beautiful cat! Glad to hear she is slowly getting used to your place.

She is very lucky to have such a great place to stay while her human is gone.

She is really a beautiful cat ! she looks like Arthur (who is a little less beautiful from behind he has a thinner tail,)and her eyes are very big. Arthur's are a little smaller but he also likes to talk and he likes to sleep on wires (!) especially those behind the computer ! Strange white cats ! So she is with you for 5 weeks ? Are their owners on holidays ?

gattina, yeah, she does look like Arthur, doesnt she. I am still amused by how much she talks. The Spice Cats are not so talkative. Haha....

Her mommy will be in Germany to visit her daughter (Pelud mommy's human daughter). Will be back in May.

I want Sesame! How sweet! Prelud seems to be adjusting. Does she have to go 5 weeks before meeting them? I was hoping eventually they could play together.

I love the name Spice Cats btw.

Have a great Tuesday!

That is a glamour-cat right there. My favorite photo is the slitty eyed "I dare you to try to make me move" one, but even there, she's a beauty.

She should get together with my cat Anela who is also a talking cat, and they could have a very catty conversation. Happy COT!

She is such a pretty cat. My kitties don't talk much at all, but I've had cats that did and they're very fun. It's neat that you are watching her for the 5 weeks, although you may have a hard time giving her up when that time comes. :-)

Oh--she is so beautiful!! You are being such a good kitty sitter. Prrrr from King and Webster.

So I've been horrible at reading blogs lately and busy with my parents, but here is the answer to your meme:

5 Reasons I Blog:

1. I get bored at 1AM on Friday night, so I decide to talk to the Internet.

2. Great friends from all over the world have popped up.

3. I get to post pictures of things every day that make me laugh or cry.

4. I live alone and have lots of free time. :)

5. I like to share humiliating stories about myself in public.

There you have it!!!!!!! Ha!

deana, I am actually slowly introducing Pelud to the Spice Cats already. Hoping that by end of next week when I go on a short hiking trip, she will be able to mix around with the Spice Cats and now stay in the room alone.

blondie, thanks for the meme! I miss seeing King and Webster on your blog! You should blog more about them.

How lucky Prelud is to have a nice home to stay in! Much better than those horrible flea infested cages at the catteries I've seen. But boy oh boy will the Spice Cats be jealous of the newcomer. This is going to cost you hours of cuddles and reassuring tuna!
