Wet Kitties Again

About 2 months ago, the Spice Cats had fungal infection. Not only all of them need to be bath with Malased once a week until they recover, they need to be soak in Malased for about 10-15 minutes. So while waiting for the 15 minutes to pass, I took some photos......

I always bath Garlic and Pepper first. Because they are smarter and always run when its bath time. I had to pretend its a normal day and trick them with treats.
Garlic : I am not happy. If you are not careful, I am gonna use my laser eyes on you!

Ginger and Sesame normally wont run, they will just hide under the sofa. So its easier to catch them.
Ginger : Maybe if I just sit quietly and look at the wall, Mummy wont notice me.

Garlic : I dont understand humans, they think wet kitties are funny!

Meme : 8 things about Abel

Katztales tagged Abel with a meme! This is Abel's very first meme, so here it goes...

1. I moved in with the Spice Cats about 2 months ago. Now I am a member of the Spice Cats family! I love the Spice Cats and try to play with them but they wont play with me :(
2. I love Cat Food!
3. I love the rain but is terrified of thunder and loud noises. Mummy is not happy that I kept hurting myself so now she kept me tied up when she is not at home.
4. I love swimming! Mummy brought me swimming once at Central Park and I look forward to going back there again!
5. I look forward to the morning walk every morning with Winter. Its my highlight for the day!
6. I am a bit on the thin side but the vet said its OK as it is not good for a senior Golden Retriever to be heavy as we tend to get hips problem.
7. I love my ball! I am always trying to get people (and the Spice Cats) to play with me!
8. Mummy say I have a very loud bark. It sometimes scare people away but I am actually very friendly.

Below are some photos of Winter and Abel during their morning walk.

Abel and Winter sitting and waiting (not so patiently) while I close the gate. I make sure they sit until I am done closing the gate and ready to start the walk. They will sit by themselves 70% of the time.

Abel and Winter, walking side by side.

Every morning, we also drop by to say Hi to Coco. Coco is always happy to see us.

Show White has crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Pelud's mom found Snow White lying in the middle of the road this morning, body still and breathless. Snow White was suspected to be hit by a car but we were not sure..... But we will alway remember Snow White for the beautiful loving cat that she was.....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

Snow White - For Adoption

Pelud's mom has been taking care of a lovely stray for a while now. She is lovable and playful. She is also spayed. She is deaf but is alert and responsive. Pelud's mom said she was thrown away when she was still nursing her kittens. We have no idea how old she is.

Below is a picture of Snow White. As you can see, she is a lovely all white female. Do let me know if you know anyone who would love to have this loving cat in their home.

Licking Cat

Farida and her friend came to visit the Spice Cats about 2 weeks ago. The Spice Cats were in a good mood and warm up to them really fast, especially Garlic.

As usual, he had fun licking their fingers and hands.

Sitting on his favorite pillow, with a never-ending supply of fingers to lick. Life is perfect.

The photos are courtesy of Farida. Thanks Farida!

Messy Eater

Every morning when I wake up and every evening when I come back from work, I find this....

I know who is the culprit. Only Sesame would scoop the catfood out with his paws and eat it from the floor. The rest of the Spice Cats would eat it from the bowl. The thing I do not understand is, how did the catfood get scattered so far away!

Yeah right. Blame it all on me! Hhhmmmppphh!

But I found a solution. I do not leave so much food on the cat bowl now. With less food, the Spice Cats made sure they finish every single bite, including those on the floor. So problem solved! (Oh dont worry, they still get more than enough food. Both Garlic and Sesame are 0.2kg heavier compared to last year!)

Abel Goes Swimming

Brought Abel to the Responsible Dog Ownership 2008 event at Central Park on Sunday. He was very excited as there were many people and dogs there.

Then I decided to bring Abel for a swim in the lake in the park.

Abel refused to go into the water and I had to pushed him in. He came right up.

I pushed him a few times until he got all his legs in the water. Then he realized its not so bad afterall.

Testing out the fetch game in the water with the leash. I was a bit worried he will swim away!

Then off he went! 1st swimming attempt was quite hilarious as he was splashing water all over the place!

2nd attempt was slightly better and after a few times, no more splashing water :)

He absolutely loves it.

That's me, trying to pull Abel away and trying not to get the poor man all wet.

I didnt bring my camera on Sunday. All the photos are taken by Chew Yean. Thanks CY for the lovely photos!

Also, one of the regular bloggers came by to say Hi to me and Abel. I forgot to ask for her name! So please leave your name here if you read this :)

New Family Member

Friday night, there is a new addition to the Spice Cats family. A big addition. Due to some personal matters, Abel's family is no longer able to look after him and I decided to take him in.

Abel is very comfortable in the Spice Cats home. He is a very handsome boy.

It doesnt take too long for Winter to make friends with Abel. However, there are still plenty of disagreements and arguements between the 2. As of now, Winter is still the alpha dog.

Abel's first encounter with Garlic. Surprisingly, Winter growl at Abel when he first approached Garlic. I think Winter is trying to protect the Spice Cats :)
But soon, all of them know that Abel is actually harmless.

Abel trying to get Garlic to play ball with him. He keeps doing that to all the cats!

They are great friends now. Sesame and Pepper are also getting used to Abel, only Ginger still hissed and growled everytime Abel is near.

Kittens Alert

About 2 months ago, after one of the hiking trips, we went to our usual stall in PJ for cendol after lunch. There, we saw a 5 extremely cute kittens with their mother.

The mother, in black, is a small cat. She is not bothered that I went close and check out her kittens, probably used to humans in the busy place.

This kitten, however, hissed at me when I tried to touch it. The mother looked up at me when the kitten hissed, decided that I am harmless, and went back to her afternoon nap.

Doggie Friend

I brought Sesame over to my mom's house last weekend, so that Garlic can play with his doggie friend, Coco, again.

Coco is more careful with Garlic this time.

She doesn't jump or pounce on Garlic. Maybe because she was slapped by Garlic the last time she tried to do that. It was actually the first time I've seen Garlic slapped anyone...or anycat...or anydog.

Coco watched Garlic's every move.

Dad trying to make Garlic come to Coco.

Garlic did, for a while, then Coco jumped on him.... and Garlic ran away again.
Garlic is not afraid of Coco. He is just annoyed at Coco for being too rough when playing.

Sesame, on the other hand, just enjoyed being home. He wants to go into my room everyday.

Sesame enjoying a neck scratch.

Sleeping on the bed is the best!

The Spice Cats at their vacation homes

I came back from my holiday on Sunday afternoon and missed the Spice Cats so much that I went to pick all of them up on Sunday itself!

Below are same photos of the Spice Cats at their vacation home. Thanks Daniel and Haw Ying!

Ginger and Pepper at Haw Ying's (Pelud's mom).

Garlic never hang around much at the stairs at the Spice Cats house. He seems to like the stairs at Haw Ying's. He back on his usual self on Monday, meowing, massaging and following me around.

Ginger being the curious one at Haw Ying's. She is still not speaking to me, only coming to me during feeding time.

Sesame and Pepper went to Daniel's house (Scarlett's dad). This photo is lovely! You can see how much bigger Sesame is!

They get to sleep on Daniel's bed! Pepper is obviously enjoying herself. She is back to her old self on Monday too.

Sesame was the sweetest. He missed me so much that he followed me all over the house the minute he got home. He also followed me to my room, jumped on my bed and rolled around!
