Ear Check-up

Ginger : What is the dog doing in the house again?

Ginger :  Hmmmm.... your ear smells funny.

Ginger : Let me clean it for you. We can't have dirty ears in the house!

Ginger : Your ear tastes funny too!

Ginger : Better clean myself now....

Ginger normally complains when Winter is in the house or gets too near to her.  But occasionally, she does show her affection towards Winter.

The Killer back in action

One Friday evening, as I was preparing to go out for dinner with some friends, I heard some noises at the backyard, sounded like cat-fights. So i ignored it. Well, it wasnt cat-fights at all and this is what I found at my backyard.

This is the really gross work of Winter.

On a lighter note, for the past 2 weeks, Abel had loads of fun at Central Park, 1 Utama.

Into the water he jumps after the bottle.

Never fails to bring the bottle back, no matter where you throw it.

Then, waiting eagerly for the next throw!

Shake! Shake! Shake!

New Family Member

Friday night, there is a new addition to the Spice Cats family. A big addition. Due to some personal matters, Abel's family is no longer able to look after him and I decided to take him in.

Abel is very comfortable in the Spice Cats home. He is a very handsome boy.

It doesnt take too long for Winter to make friends with Abel. However, there are still plenty of disagreements and arguements between the 2. As of now, Winter is still the alpha dog.

Abel's first encounter with Garlic. Surprisingly, Winter growl at Abel when he first approached Garlic. I think Winter is trying to protect the Spice Cats :)
But soon, all of them know that Abel is actually harmless.

Abel trying to get Garlic to play ball with him. He keeps doing that to all the cats!

They are great friends now. Sesame and Pepper are also getting used to Abel, only Ginger still hissed and growled everytime Abel is near.

Pelud and Winter

Pelud are not bothered by Winter at all, through the glass door, of course.

Winter's New Pal

My parents adopted Scooter from SPCA about 3 weeks ago. He was extremely quiet and shy at first but slowly accepted his new family. Although he is still very quiet, compared to Winter, he is much more confident and happy now.

Hello, my name is Scooter.

Took my parents 2 weeks to introduce Scooter to Winter. To my surprise, after 2 weeks, Winter accepted Scooter as part of the family. Winter who hates all dogs and who will try to kill all dogs that come into her path. I think she somehow knows that Scooter is going to be part of the family. She sometimes help clean Scooter's ears too.

And they share food, when they visit each other (My parents stay 3 houses away).

They absolutely love playing with each other. Winter is of course, the hyper-active and dominant one, while Scooter is always so gentle.

Good Boy. I am your big sister. You are gonna listen and obey me from now on.

The Killer is back

Note: This post consists of picture of dead animal.

For the past 2 months, dead bodies are turning up in my backyard every 2 weeks or so. Actually the dead bodies have stopped for almost 6 months, and I am happily getting used to the fact that I can retire from being the Professional Body Remover. But looks like I cant get away from the job. Sigh.

A tiny rat/mouse every 2 weeks or so.....

Winter tried to grab the rat before I managed to dispose of it and I quickly shooed her away. Strictly no licking me for 1 whole week! YUCKS!

Then last Friday, a squirrel :(
A gentle harmless squirrel. Why? Sigh.

Winter's Twin!

Look what I found!

The similarity is amazing! The smeared black dots on the white fur, 2 black patches on the eyes, the brownish color on the face. Looks like Winter got herself a twin.

Seven Random Facts about Winter

Katztales asked about Winter. She is right, very bad of me to left Winter out. So here it is…

Chilling out one evening in the house......

Seven Random Facts about Winter

1. I hate dogs! I hate dogs! I hate dogs! A group of big bad dogs attacked me when I was just a baby and now I hate dogs!

2. I love cats! I love to lick their faces, clean their ears and play with them. But Mommy always say I am too rough, that is why the cats always run away. I cant help if I am excited

3. I eat practically everything under the sky, except for oranges and vegetables (unless they are blended). My favorite is cat poo. Just 2 weeks ago I ate the Spice Cats' poo. Mommy was screaming at me when she found out. I don't know why.

4. Mommy said I whine a lot.

5. I love to play ‘Catch me if you can’. Mommy can never catch me.

6. I love to dig holes in the garden, especially under the tree. When the weather is hot, I sit in the hole. The ground is much cooler.

7. I am a great hunter. I have killed countless number of rats and 4 civet cats. When I killed my first civet cat, I carried it to Mommy when she came home. Mommy didn’t like it, she screamed at me. I don’t know why.

In Memory of Shadow

Time flies. It was June 2006 when Shadow escaped through the back door and never came back. Despite all the posters and the RM500 reward, he was never found.

Shadow is a very laid back cat. He loves lazing around the house. On the weekends when I sleep in, sometimes till 11:00am in the morning, Shadow will be also sleeping, beside me on my bed, till 11:00am.

He is big for his age. The picture below taken when he is just about 8 months old. Unlike other kittens, he is not interested in playing but he loves having people close by.

Shadow, the handsome Lion Cat.

Ginger, at that time still a baby, followed Shadow everywhere. She looked up at him and always stayed close to him. In fact, she is closer to Shadow than she is closer to me.

Baby Ginger, always making sure she is close to Shadow.

Lazing around on a Sunday afternoon.

Sleeping soundly in my room, using my bag as a pillow.

And of course, Ginger is always not far away.

As he is a big cat, he is not intimidated by Winter at all. In fact, he often tries to show Winter that HE is the boss. Winter, of course, with all her love for cats, normally let Shadow have his own way. I am sure Winter misses Shadow as much as I do, as the Spice Cats now are not interested to play with Winter at all.

I am the KING! And you are my servant!

BOW to me, loyal dog servant!

Good Servant. BOW LOWER!

Make sure my ears are clean!

Mmmmm.......Nice.....

I hope whoever got Shadow now is treating him well.

Professional Body Remover

Note: This post consists of picture of dead animal.

After 1 month, the Professional Body Remover is called for her services again.

“Professional Killer calling Body Remover. One enemy is identified and terminated. Body is big and fat, either very well-fed or even pregnant. To dispose off immediately. Over and out.”

This is the 2nd body this week. The first body was small and thin. Second was bigger and fatter. Since I am a trained Professional Body Remover, size does not really matter (anything bigger than the Spice cats are excluded). I still remember my first job. My hand was shaking, I didn't even dare to look at the body directly. Removal was done with 2 layers of plastic bag, and was done as fast as I can to get it over with. Now, after more than 10 jobs, I even stopped to take photos, picked up the body with just 1 layer of plastic bag and examined the body. It looked fresh, no blood seen. Well done again, Dog Spice.

Below is a photo of the 2nd body of the week, exactly as I found it.

Weekend Feast

Winter had a feast last weekend. Started on Saturday morning when my mom bought 3 huge pork knuckles from the wet market. So Winter had 1 huge half knuckles for breakfast. Then Sonia came and brought Winter 2 chewable bones that help cleans her teeth. Winter had that for tea. Then dinner it was lamb chop with blended vegetables.

On Sunday morning, Winter had another half of the pork knuckles for breakfast, pork knuckles soup for tea. Then dinner it was lamb chop with blended vegetables again, together with some leftovers cat food.

Winter must be wondering what the occasion is, normally it is just her normal boring Dry Dog Food. From now on, I try to feed Winter blended vegetables at least every weekend. And bones too! It is suppose to be good for her!

This weekend will be another feast......

Yummy Pork Knuckles that can be cut into 6 portions. Winter get both the knuckles and the soup.

Healthy fresh Vegetables and Carrots, ready to be blended.

Lambs cut into small pieces to be added into the blended vegetables and carrots.

Yeay! Blended Vegetables and Lamb! Doesn't look too yummy huh? But it supposed to be good and Winter loves it.

More food? Pretty please?

Lazy Week

It has been a lazy week. I think it is mainly due to the holiday on Tuesday and the haze. Even the cats and dog felt it. Its gonna be a lazy weekend ahead, for the pets, at least.

Garlic had his castration done last Saturday and is healing nicely. I am bringing him to the vet tomorrow morning for a check-up. Also gonna get the vet to check on his fungal infection as I cant bath him now that he just had the surgery.

Don't take my picture, I am shy!

The bad doctor took away my nuts!

Pepper’s fungal infection has spread to 2 new spots on Monday. I bathed her on Tuesday and when I checked on the new spots yesterday, seemed to have dried up. I need to bath her again tomorrow. Hope she recover soon!

Yawn. I can't keep my eyes open.

Too lazy to move.

Ginger’s hair has grown longer. But she still has the lion tail! I suspected that she is on heat few days back when she just refused to let me sit still when I was in my room, kept demanding for a cuddle everytime I put her down. I am not 100% sure though, she is back to her cool self when she gets out of my room.

Am I pretty? But I am too lazy to move also.

Sesame has grown tremendously. He loves to climb and jump and wrestle with your hands. He also now knows his name. So everytime I call his name, he would come running.

I can't keep my eyes open.

ZzzzzZzzzz....

I am not dead, I am just too lazy to move.

Winter went for a long walk on Tuesday, since it was public holiday and I didn’t go to the gym. She came home exhausted. She needs more exercise for her stamina.

I can't keep my eyes open.
