The Little Furball is back

Still remember the Lion Cut that Ginger had last year?

She doesn't really look like a lion because she doesn't have enough fur on her neck and chest.

But I think she is incredibly cute.....

Now, the fur has grown back 100%, if not more.....

The little princess. Unlike Sesame, Ginger has long straight fur.

I think Ginger has the longest fur, among the Spice Cats. But Sesame has the thickest fur.

With all these fur, the Spice Cats house is NEVER fur-free. This is how my vacuum cleaner looks like.

The amount of fur the vacuum sucks up every month. Its amazing how much the Spice Cats shed and still look so fluffy and furry.

Whoa! All that fur in the vacuum is incredible. Maybe you can knit a sweater from it ;)

Wow ! that's unbelievable so many hairs in your vacuum ! I don't even have a small part of that with my 5 cats ! I have to say that Kim the only long haired, always stays outside, she doesn't like to sleep inside, she is always on our terrace. Ginger really looked cuted with the hair cut ! Fortunately it grew back in the same color, because when we had Kim shaved it grew back a little brownish on both sides, not on the top.

Wow, that is a lot of fun! I think Ginger looks cute, both with, and without all her fur! I think I'm happy I don't have so much fur to shed. ;)

The last time I was home in Iowa, I brushed the farm cat and left her fur ball out on the grass. A barn swallow came along and took it right in front of me for his nest. Do you leave the fur outside for the birdies?

Ginger is a beauty- a princess. The colour of the fur is so rich.
It is a good idea to recycle the fur, makes a warm bed for the birdies.

If you know of anyone who knits, you could make blankets or even a sweater out of discarded Spice Cat fur. A woman in Colorado did exactly that. VIP Fibers will spin the yarn, although California might be a bit far for you to send the raw fur. :-)

Whether or not you would want to wear a sweater made out of discarded cat fur, you would have to decide, but there is a sort of symmetry to using discarded cat fur to make snuggle blankets for the cats.

I have never seen a cat look that good from a hair cut but she looks great.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank you for this post.
We have 4 cats (three log haired) 1 dog (a basset hound that sheds non-stop)and two ferrets.
I am always complaining about the amount of hair I vaccumm it seems almost a daily chore here!

Your beautiful cats and dog are very lovely though so it is worth the trouble right? I have to keep reminding myself of that when I am constantly cleaning up after them!
But I do love them. :)
