Little Lions
Its shedding season again and I just could not manage all the fur flying all over the house. So I sent Sesame and Ginger to Cathy to get the lion cut done.
If you are interested to get the lion cut for your cat, you can email Cathy at cathy_looppy@yahoo.com.
If you have not seen my previous posts about lion cut, this is how it looks!
You can see how round Sesame is after the lion cut.
Both of the seems to love their new fur-cut. And now that their fur is so short, they are allowed into my room.
Enjoying the aircon in my room, on my bed.
Sesame slept all day long!

Ginger loves her new fur-cut so much that she totally forgotten that she is supposed to be mad at me!

More Unpublished Photos - The Girls
Pepper was the most sporting, I do not have to hold her down on my lap.
Pepper being the best actress of them all, pretending to concentrate on the laptop (its not even on!)
Of course, she got bored after awhile.

Ginger : What is the man with the thing on the face doing?
Ginger : What?!? I am supposed to pretend to look at the laptop?!? But it is not even on!

One of my favorite photo of the bunch.
Last but not least, I would like to thank Ellen for interviewing me. Without her, me and the Spice Cats would never be on Women's Weekly! Thanks Ellen! (You can visit Ellen's blog at Katztales.)

Sharlene and Garlic on Women's Weekly
The article is finally out in Women's Weekly Dec 09 issue, after more than 1 year from the interview.
It was 3 months ago, when the photographer showed up unannounced at my doorstep on a Saturday morning. Women's Weekly has forgotten to confirm my photoshoot date with me and imagine my surprise when I greeted him in my pajama! I was barely awake and recovering from a late night-out with some friends. Luckily the make-up artist did a fabulous job in covering my eye bags. Haha....
It turned out to be quite a fun event and both the photographer and make-up artist are extremely patient and friendly. I promised the photographer that I would not use or post the photos he gave me until the magazine is out. Now I can finally post the photos here as well as facebook!
We took about 100+ photos, but Women's Weekly only used 1 photo. We realized that photographing the Spice Cats are extremely difficult, especially if the photographer is a stranger to the cats! The Spice Cats absolutely hated the attention, the gadgets and all the flashes. Luckily my mom came over to help capture the Spice Cats attention, else we would never have a photo with the Spice Cats looking straight into the camera.
Below is the article in the magazine and some of the unpublished photos.

Damp Bedsheets
It has been raining everyday. I washed my bedsheets in the morning when the sun is bright then it started to rain. So I decided to bring it into the house, under the aircon, for it to dry.
For some reason, Ginger seems to love the damp bedsheets. She jumped onto the bedsheets, took a comfortable position and refused to move!

Peace Again
With Tiger and Ninja gone to their new forever home, the Spice Cats house is quiet again (well, quiet for 4 cats and 2 dogs).
I do miss Tiger and Ninja terribly, especially Tiger, who would always rushed to me and jumped up my leg for a hug and cuddle and purred like a little sewing machine while I hold him against my chest.

Sesame, on the other hand, is enjoying the peace without the kittens running all over the house. Sesame is the only one who refused to be anywhere close to the kittens and hisses at them, though Tiger and Ninja soon learnt that Sesame is just a harmless big teddy bear and ignored Sesame's hisses altogether.
Sesame : I can now sleep in peace....... ZzzzzZzzzz......

Kittens for Adoption
About 2 weeks ago, a friend found 3 kittens near her office. One died. So she decided to bring the remaining 2 to me. They should be around 6-7 weeks old now.
Tiger (striped) is the active and curious one. He ran all over the room and explored every corner. He is also extremely playful. He loves a cuddle and loves to lie on your chest when you sleep. Purrs like a sewing machine whenever you cuddle him.
Ninja (black) is the sweet one. She prefers to stay close to you and also seems to enjoy a cuddle. She purrs too, though not as loud. She is very trusting and gets along with everything, including all the dogs. Does not seemed to be afraid of them at all.
Both of them are not afraid of people, in fact, they seems to be very attached to people. Whenever I am in the room, they will make sure they stay close beside me. And even climbed all over me.
Anyone who is interested, please drop me an email at psharlene@gmail.com.

Coco came back!
Yesterday late morning, at about 11am, Coco just turned up at the back of my parents house. Apparently, a neighbour has spotted her roaming around the front of our house at 8am in the morning. But Coco did not make any sound to call my parents. It was only when my mom went to the garden, she saw Coco sitting outside the gate.
It was exactly 2 weeks ago that she escaped. Coco looks fine and clean. We concluded that someone must have taken her in and took good care of her. She somehow managed to escape again and found her way home.
My parents and me are all very happy that she is home. And Coco looks very happy to be home too :)

MISSING IN SUBANG JAYA - Coco
On Wednesday (31st Sept 2009) morning, Coco bit through the gate and escaped from my mom's backyard at SS14, Subang Jaya. We searched everywhere around the neighbourhood and asked the neighbours. We also went to PAWS and MPSJ dog pound in Puchong, but we did not manage to locate Coco.
Coco is a small dog, weighing about 7kg, with short black and brown fur. She is about 1.5 years old and is extremely friendly. Her 2 hind knees were problematic ever since she was young and she is constantly under medication and supplements.
We miss Coco terribly and sincerely hope whoever see or find Coco to contact my mom at 016 653 8278 (Mrs Phuah).
