Cockroach Alert!

There is cockroach in my room! I was burning some CDs when I saw it flying beside my computer. YES, it was FLYING! I quickly ran downstairs and grabbed my Sheltox. One spray at the little bugger and it did the trick. Urrgghh! How I hate cockroaches.

Ginger, who was in my room at that time, sat beside it for a long time, just looking at it, probably thinking whether it is safe to touch it. As I have just sprayed it, I told Ginger not to go near it. I do not want her to get poisoned too! Ginger, being an obedient sweet little princess, just sat and observed the cockroach until it finally stopped moving, and I picked it up and flushed it down the toilet bowl.

The thing is moving but mom wont let me go near it!

I better make sure it won't get away.

It's still moving..... but not going anywhere....

I think it stopped moving but I am not letting it out of my sight!

hmmm... if there was a cockroach at my home (seldom anyway), the kids wud dash as they were running for 100m sprint n try to catch it. Whoever had the cockroach in the mouth is the winner. No shout wud deter them fr doing so. i juz need to pry open their mouth n dispose the half injured (or dead) cockroach.

Scott, my cats are only obedient when I am around. If I let them out of my sight, you have no idea what they will do! I even found fur on my stove and they are NOT allowed on the kitchen stove or the tables!

Blondie, Ginger was very tempted to touch it. But I told her off in a very stern voice everytime she tried to go near it. And yes, she is a very good kitty! Hehe....

Horatio, I hardly have cockroaches in the house (or maybe I do and the cats eat all of them when I am not around!). My only worry is that the there are cockroach poison which when eaten, could be dangerous to the cat.

Woon, haha....our friend has so many grand grand...sons, I am sure he won't mind a bit.

Anonymous (Marcocolumpussy), Haha...not hard to know its you, after all, we have known each other for 10 years. My house doesnt have much lizzards, if any. As for mosquitos, with the mosquitos net to keep the cats out, there aren't many in the house either. Hehe...

Do they line up the bodies for you in a row as a present for when you come home?

I'm using unscented mothballs behind cupboards to repel cockroaches and it seems to work...

Katztales, line up the bodies?? Geez, I will faint if they do that. Winter once carried a dead Civet Cat she killed in her mouth and dropped it in front of my leg when I came home. It freaked me out! I scolded her and she never carried any 'dead' things to me again, even though she killed plenty of Civet Cats and Rats after that.

The one thing I am afraid of in this world - cockroaches. Just can't be anywhere near them. Especially the flying kind. Gimme snakes, spiders, worms anytime but not cockroaches... I have no idea why...

horatio, I have not watched Open Season yet. Will need to watch it to understand what you mean. Hahaha...

shah, I absolutely hate cockroaches too! Even when they are dead, I need to pick them up with alot of tissue. Even then, it still gives me the creeps.....Uuurrrghh..

flying cockroaches!?! YIKES!! that would creep me out. we only have the kind that run very fast. at least, i have my killer kitten to catch bugs. those pictures are great, sharlene!

do you have lizards running around outside? our animals seem boring compared to yours in Malaysia.

burekaboy, I used to have small lizards runing inside the house. But now I hardly see them anymore, thanks to my cats. Even a fly can't escape 4 cats!

marjan, the cats sometimes do not really kill the 'prey', its more for playing. Used to find half-dead lizards around the house when I come now. But now, lizards know that my house is off limits. Hehe...
